Manager, Strategic Analytics- E-commerce


Client is a solid multi-billion dollar, well respected company located inside the Perimeter.  The business is on very solid footing financially and is investing heavily in Data Analytics and Strategy. This role is a key hire for the business and will enjoy top level executive exposure on projects.  The culture is very supportive, non-political and advances employees based on merit, not time spent.

The Manager, Strategic Analytics will provide day-to-day insights and big picture analysis to optimize performance across business units. The successful candidate will leverage financial & business knowledge to influence senior leadership and formulate recommendations related to the company’s corporate strategy and operations.

Responsibilities include working cross functionally,  identifying areas of opportunity to drive revenue by instilling data-driven best practices.  This person must have strong analytical and communication skills to synthesize findings into actionable insights.

While projects can be distributed across the corporate landscape, the company is keenly interested in development of analytics and insight around their e-commerce channels.  Experience in this area is strongly desired.

Job Duties:
• Engage business leaders to understand the needs of the business, develop data requirements, and structure data-based solutions

• Conduct in depth analyses of performance across a variety of company projects, and present recommendations to team members, product owners, and senior management
• Leverage visualization tools to blend data from multiple data sources to help answer key questions
• Develop a detailed, strategic analytical framework inclusive of predictive analytics to guide company goals

• Lead complex quantitative and qualitative research efforts and business intelligence solutions

• Pro-actively participate in and identify opportunities for efficiency, automation, standardization and process simplification
• Perform ad hoc analysis and provide recommendations for process improvements within the work area to management

• Ability to extract data from multiple sources, explore and understand the nature of the data as it relates to the business activity, and derive insights

• Preferred: Ecomm experience, not required.

• Preferred: Tableau / PowerBI or other dashboarding tools
• 5-7 years of experience in an analytics or financial role
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint and story telling skills

• Preferred: Proficient SQL programming, not required
