Senior Financial Analyst 

Company: Growth oriented, well established, private equity backed corporate in Atlanta seeks to hire a Sr Financial Analyst.  The role reports to the Director of Finance and offers great exposure to the executive team and business leadership.  


This position prepares financial analyses and forecasts for use in the development of financial and operational business decisions. Responsible for financial reporting and analysis, creating financial models, and supporting user group for internal planning / forecasting as well as the budget process. Performs the quantitative analysis required for the strategic planning of the company, prepare report for management, the Board of Directors, the shareholders, etc. The position will report to the Director of Financial Analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compiles and analyzes financial information for the organization.

  • Develops integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations.

  • Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately.

  • Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management.

  • Performs financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts.

  • Conducts special financial studies and coordinates with other departments in the

    preparation of statistical studies.

  • Performs internal and external research and analyzes issues related to specific financial metrics to ensure competitiveness.

  • Compiles or prepares reports, graphs and charts of data developed.

  • Recommends changes in financial analysis methods or procedures.

    Education & Experience:

    Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field is required (an advanced degree in Finance is preferred) and 3+ years experience working specifically in a quantitatively oriented function or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in the Manufacturing or Engineering Industry is a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas and graphing). Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial trends. Ability to create reports, spreadsheets and business correspondence. Ability to effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from Executives. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.
