Job Description
Position Purpose:
This position is initially focused on providing support in the evaluation and implementation of the inorganic growth / M&A strategy, including due diligence and strategic evaluation of acquisitions, divestitures and other corporate development opportunities.  This position will also act as a resource on projects related to acquisition integration activities, new adjacent market evaluations and the Company’s annual strategic planning process.

Qualifications/Education/Experience Required:  
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university or college;
  • Master’s degree and/or 2 to 4 years business experience in a rigorous investment banking, consulting, strategic planning or business development role;
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills coupled with a solid background in finance

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Key team member in the preparation and execution of acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and other business combinations;
  • Integral resource supporting and facilitating the preliminary strategic, commercial and financial analysis of possible acquisition targets as part of screening activities, evaluating economics, strategic fit, actionability and overall attractiveness;
  • Drives the evaluation of new markets and adjacencies, taking into account strategic, commercial and operating considerations to assess fit.  Prepares reports outlining new market growth opportunities, market dynamics, participants and possible acquisition targets;
  • Analyzes various aspects of potential transactions including financial issues such as valuation modeling, deal structuring and other commercial/operating considerations; 
  • Coordinates resources to support the assessment and execution of corporate development initiatives, with a focus on identifying risks and opportunities (i.e. due diligence processes);
  • Leads aspects of integration and divestiture efforts.  Overall manager of cross functional activities and actions, ensuring that tasks are completed properly and within the overall timeline. 
  • Prepares of presentations to senior management as well as external parties; 
  • Works with internal business unit leaders and external advisors/consultants to help source and evaluate new inorganic growth ideas; and 
  • Drives project management and tracking functional activities and progress to ensure project objectives are met and delivered on time.
