Job Description
Our client, a solid regional CPA firm based in Atlanta is seeking an experienced Audit Manager with public accounting experience.  This unique firm has a boasts a great culture, offering autonomy and solid development support to advance associates along the Partner path.  

Audit department provides the following types of services to clients:
• Audits, reviews and compilations of financial statements
o Benefit plan audits
o OMB A-133 (Single Audits)
o FAR (overhead) audits
• Financial reporting (preparation and assistance)
• Assistance with mergers and acquisitions
• Litigation support
• Forensic accounting
• Corporate financial planning
• Operational audits
• Cost controls and cash flow management
• Internal control evaluations, corporate system design and testing
• Training and board presentations
 
Manager Responsibilities:
• Oversee multiple client engagements
• Plan, perform and complete client engagements
• Perform the risk assessment analysis to develop an audit approach
• Perform audit procedures tailored to specific audit risks and those required by compliance
• Perform walkthrough of client’s internal control of processes and assess their effectiveness
• Prepare and review financial statement drafts
• Responsible for the supervision and review of staff work
• Train staff on audit procedures
• Develop and motivate staff
• Provide timely, quality services that aim to exceed the expectations of clients
 
Qualifications:
• 4 - 7 years of public accounting (audit preferred) or equivalent experience
• CPA is required
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (advanced degree is preferred)
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
• Experience working with construction, non-profit, manufacturing, healthcare and technology
industries
• Ability to mentor and supervise staff
• Responsible for being the lead on engagements
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple engagements
• Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills
• Understanding of Prosystem Engagement software a plus
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and
maintain outstanding client relationships
