The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the general ledger accounting team and the timely & accurate reporting of the company’s financial results.   The Accounting Manger will have responsibility over all the day-to-day financial reporting activities, including general ledger, income statement, balance sheet, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and review & distribute financial data and other financial reports & analyses.

The Accounting Manager must be a self-starter who can provide leadership and guidance to an accounting team to ensure the month-end close process is run efficiently and completed on time and with a high level of accuracy.  The Accounting Manager will help serve as a key business partner to other departments and functions within the organization.


The Accounting Manager will have oversight of the following responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train and motivate accounting team members to expand the effectiveness and efficiency of the department.

  • Work with direct reports to establish goals and objectives for each year.  Monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff.

  • Lead the month-end close process and related accounting staff.

  • Monitors and analyzes department work to ensure a high level of accuracy is being maintained.

  • Possess broad knowledge, initiative and ability to deal with complex financial issues.  Use professional concepts to solve a wide range of difficult problems in practical ways.

  • Responsible for maintenance of accounts and records, general ledgers, financial reports, and balance sheets.

  • Assist with the execution of the financial statement audit.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Master’s degree preferred

  • CPA license

  • 5+  years of experience accounting/finance experience in industry or 3 years of public accounting.

  • Review of work or supervision experience is preferred. 

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization
